More Christmas in the Languedoc (Mazamet by night)

We took a walk last night to see the Christmas market. The products that were for sale inside weren’t really our sort of thing. There was however a cute new shop by the entrance of the newly reformed halle that had some very nice items (all made locally.) The blue ceramics were particularly attractive.

And here’s the rest:

There’s a very nice design/antiques shop in the same square as the market. They’ve got a pair of lovely (BIG) grisaille panels this week.

I’m tempted by them; they’d look great in the dining room, but that sort of thing really isn’t a priority at the moment. And Mike would kill me if I started buying things we don’t need before the restoration of the house is complete. There are still two bathrooms that need to be completely re-done, not to mention curtains in all the bedrooms. And before I go, just a few more lights:

You’ve got a thing about blue ceramics! I like the panels. In fact the antiques shop looks much nicer than the christmas market. Thank goodness they havent hit my part of the world. Yet.

I do! Actually ceramics in general but with a heavy emphasis on blue. Back in the day I had the most wonderful collection of east-india company porcelain, but that had to go up for sale the year of the financial crisis. I had to choose between selling the sevres blue or the east-india, I kept the blue and added to it to console myself 🙂
