Do you need an abortion? PLANCPILLS.ORG

Let me start by asking people, all of you out there, to pass this along to your readers and followers, friends and family.

I know many people are disturbed by the SCOTUS ruling, but let’s set that aside because what it does not affect is that it’s possible and legal to order abortion pills in the United States. Attempts to restrict that right will in all likelihood fail because it would open a can of worms in regards to access to medication that even an extremist court wouldn’t want to unleash.

If you or someone you know needs an abortion, visit www.PLANCPILLS.org

If you have a bit of money to spare, it probably wouldn’t hurt to buy some yourself and let your circle know you can help people in need.

Safe, at-home abortion is here.
Plan C provides up-to-date information on how people in the U.S. are accessing at-home abortion pill options online.

Drug companies should step up and make it more affordable. Unfortunately the cost in America is around 500 USD.

        Good grief!
Are there any mainline charities which could assist?

Damn. There goes the class divide again. Well heeled American women will be able to access this life-saving option. Poor women will end up having backyard abortions because they’ll be cheaper than the pill. How the hell did America get to this point? I just pray that Australia never regresses like this. 😦

The abort pills would make abortion much less barbaric and possibly less objectable to many prolifers.

I agree. I don’t see why things in the US have to be so extreme in one direction or another when a reasonable middle ground is easily achievable.

This is a great post, Pinky. I’m long past the age where I’d need this kind of help, but I’m still furious at the damn hypocrisy of a nation that condones the wholesale murder of living, breathing children, but believes the life of an unborn child should be protected at all costs. Apologies to your American friends. I know this is not down to /them/. 😦

I’m skeptical about Plan C pill remaining legal in all US states. Even their website advises caution when used in the US. I envision many conservative states will find means and ways to make abortion pills illegal. Whether or not such laws might be enforceable, only time will tell. Regardless, the SCOTUS decision will have more negative impact on women (and their families) from less affluent communities.

We only need look at states such as Oklahoma and Texas that allow anyone to sue anyone who helps someone obtain an abortion. I understand some states have laws already enacted, that penalise those who assist someone to obtain an abortion and come into effect if/when Roe vs Wade was reversed. I presume these are now in effect. I have the horrible feeling that this is just the first step in the rolling back of human rights across the USA.

I contrast the US situation to NZ where recent legislation completely decriminalised abortion (instead of legalising it under some (very liberal) circumstances. Interestingly, the recent SCOTUS decision has seen an exponential increase in American health professionals seeking information on emigrating to NZ and many have stated specifically the Roe vs Wade decision as a prime motivator.

The availability and privacy of using these pills would enable USA to focus on real family dinner table issues.
