Teresa Cristina sings Roses Don’t Speak

“… I complain to the roses.
What nonsense.
Roses don’t speak.
Roses only exhale the scent
they steal from you…”

Oh, for the life of me…
Splendid, I’m speechless, classical guitar and Brazilian Portuguese chanson…
The audience connecting is just divine…

    • I love her! Have you heard of Chavela Vargas?
If you like Mercedes you’ll like her as well:

What an unusual language? I’ve never heard anything like it. And lovely music too!

I don’t know if you’ve heard of a youtube channel called Postmodern Jukebox, but I’ve been sort of obsessed lately. They do current pop songs in a faux-1940s sort of style. It’s been an inoffensive way for me to learn about what the kids are listening to these days.
