“The Pink Agendist has a pretty awesome blog. His take on this topic is stunning, and allows us to see how the church set the tone for what they now describe as necessary organs of society. Don’t stop with one post, check out the whole blog too.”

Remember My Atheist Life? I miss him. A lot. We used to have endless discussions- deep into the night. I hope his wife is doing okay now. It’s been over 2 years.
Thank you for reminding us. I am sure Laa would have wanted us to remember. Sad how he went, I wish he felt he could have talked it out of him with us. I only knew his blog for a short time before he was gone, most knew him a lot longer. Hugs

It has indeed. He was the first person to follow my blog. A savagely bright spark. Was hoping his wife would post an update on how she (and the dogs) are going.

I didn’t read all of the comments but it was the Romans and their penchant for administration that promulgated all of those laws (for the betterment of the Empire). What was unseemly was all of the Christian leaders falling all over themselves slurping up the splashes of wine dropped by the Romans. They wheedled and petitioned the Emperor, played politics, payed gangs to offer violence for religious enemies, paid bribes, etc. etc.
The Chrisitian leaders of the time could only be described as power crazy.

I didn’t know ‘my atheist life’ but see he had some sound fellow, free-thinking followers. Also thanks for the link to your essay. A fine piece indeed. It strikes me now that those who propound their faith by attacking atheism are arguing with grown up words bur from an infant perspective, and infancy was probably when the dogmatizing began for them. Which probably also means trying to have a rational exchange is fairly unlikely. It’s saddening and frustrating that your clearly stated and considered words are probably not accessible to those who believe in ‘dogma’ – whatever its format. Come to think of it, it actually is a formatting problem: system update not acceptable either 🙂

He was extremely active on many atheist blogs. In fact most of the atheists I know around here I met because of his recommendations.
