Right now we don’t know what the reasons were- and frankly I imagine the motivation doesn’t play much of a role in the feeling of loss of those who have lost family or friends. So I’d just like to offer my solidarity to those feeling loss today. From Berlin to Aleppo.
If you don’t know this speech it’s worth listening to (for a multitude of reasons):

Had no idea until I read this. Looked it up. Insanity rules the world. We are the lemmings sprinting for the cliff. 😦

I just have to wonder what the #$*&! is wrong with humans. Best that there be a nova now and give the ol’ earth another chance.
but then I do know that there are speeches like Kennedy’s and like this one, Chaplin in The Great Dictator, and I get a little hope back.

That’s how I felt yesterday. Today I’m all for that nova. Is there a potential, hate-crazed, death-dealing psychopath lurking in all our DNA? Or is it just that every single hidden crazy has come out of the closet?

No offence intended with that cliche. 😦

It’s difficult to find the words (like I’ve felt at all these terror attacks). I’ve been in Berlin and my parents used to travel there in christmas several years in a row. They would have gone to that market.
I join everyone in wondering what’s wrong with some people. I don’t wish for a nova though.
Doesn’t make much sense to be upset at this mass murder and then turn around and wish for more death.
I also hope all these terror attacks won’t fuel the flames and cause even more hate. As all animals, we have our partly irrational fight and flight instincts, and they seem to be more tuned towards fight most of the time.

This from the man who turned around the master – servant relationship between government and people with his ‘ask not what your country can do for you’ speech….
