I’m assuming that’s you . . wow! You’d fit right in at our local zoo/Farm. Please tell more of the story! 🙂

    • The cub’s mother rejected him and there was a waiting period before he was old enough to be rehomed. A friend of ours was in charge of his care and so she asked us to visit so he wouldn’t be too lonely 🙂

At our local zoo/farm years ago, four lion cubs were born and the mother wouldn’t nurse them. There was a bulldog who had just had pups, so she nursed the lion cubs. Staff had to supplement their feedings with bottles, so the cubs got very used to having people in the pen with them. It was a sight to behold, those cubs nursing on that bulldog! You might have seen the videos a few years back of the hockey-playing lion — look it up!

Looks like Alain Delon. Esme has a thing about him. Or wishes she had.

Just looked up Alain Delon…oh my. Actually, you’re like a cross between the two Pinky. The forehead is definitely Louis Jourdan but the rest is more Delon.

I’m not a huge fan, but my husband love CK and he’s got a point here, for sure. There are people who actually think predatory behavior is generally true of gay men. (More to fear from hetero pedophiles, I can vouch for that.) My eldest daughter’s only babysitters for a long time were two gay male friends of mine. People would actually say, “How can you do that? Aren’t you afraid they will harm her?” It made me so mad – but it was also an opportunity to straighten them out. Jesus, man. Get a grip.

I’ve never even bloody mentioned Alain Delon in my life! Looking at the below I’d say he fancied himself enough not to need much extra adoration. And Mr Pink looks more like Louis Jordan, but does have similar eyes. *shoves Hairyrod out the window*.

Amazing picture Mr Pink, a glamour shot with a tiger! Rare creatures abound *smiles*

When you realize the tiger should actually be eating you and it is not, because … it is not so cute. I have never appreciated dancing bears so much and tended to think that animals are better off in the wild. But that was when I was young and there was some “wild” left for the animals to be in. Now, I guess, zoos may be places of refuge for animals who would be otherwise killed to protect human economic interests.

Yes, the tiger I held was in a rescue facility – considerable acreage to protect wild animals who had been kept as pets in California. I was visiting my daughter there, and went back again – but have never been able to locate the same place again. Maybe they went out of business, I don’t know :*(

    • When we were in Spain we had a friend who was in charge of an animal rescue centre. This fellow’s mother had been seized from a circus where she had been abused.
You wouldn’t believe how strong he was despite being smallish. Had he wanted to, even at that point, he could have seriously damaged me. About a month later he was already too strong to be played with safely. We still visited though 🙂

I can believe that without any trouble whatsoever, Pinky. My cats are 1/5th? the size and even they are remarkably strong. I’m glad you got your cuddle before that gorgeous boy became too big. I wonder if he remembers bonding with humans? You may still be his beloved. I’m sure they don’t forget.

It’s just that the body would prefer to be nine years younger! 😀

I would definitely rather not return to those younger days though, when you’re young and speak your mind you’re only seen as contrary, as you get older people are genuinely scared of you. Mwah ha ha… 😀

        Must be the hair. 😛

And you certainly didn’t look bad. 🙂
Sad to think how much time we spend worrying about our looks in our youth.
I have a new boyfriend now that likes me without makeup or revealing clothes. Ah. If only I had known, I wouldn’t have wasted so much of the last 15 years worrying about my body.

SO sweet. I, too, have held a baby tiger – although ‘mine’ looked to be a bit smaller than ‘yours.’ What I most recall today was his smell – similar to our little rescue grey wolf puppy when we got him in New Mexico. “Skunky” as my daughter called it. Sweet connections 😉
