When the livin’ is easy

The weather’s been amazing. The girls have gone back to England. A little bit sad, but there’s next year to look forward to. I’ve been catching up on things I’ve been meaning to watch/read for a while:

The Time in Between (tv series) which was a huge success in Spain before we left. Glossy, pretty, decent acting. Not much depth or sophistication, though. For example the star’s spy name is Aris Agoriuq which is her name, Sira Quiroga, spelt backwards. Where’s Alan Turing when you need him?

The Girl on the Train (book.) Haven’t started yet, but I love the concept.

I also watched two lgbt themed productions. EastSiders is interesting, it gets better as it develops. Watching it made me incredibly happy that I’m not a single gay man in his 30’s in L.A. I Want Your Love is heavy on the sex scenes. Watching it made me ecstatic that I’m not a single gay man in his 30’s in San Francisco.

As soon as the girls left we went out to get a new iron table for the terrace, the table that was there before was too small.

We’re still using the temporary sofas and chairs we got last year. To my surprise they survived winter in near perfect condition.  I like the length of the sofa (8 feet), and it’s comfortable, so it may not be so temporary after all. But I do have to get more comfortable armchairs. Maybe a little set like this:
