Theresa May Emerges as a Contender to Lead Tories – WSJ

LONDON— Theresa May, one of the U.K.’s longest-serving home secretaries, has emerged as a favorite to become the next prime minister.

It would be a very good thing for the party and for Britain. She is a fundamentally decent human being. Competent, serious and pragmatic. If I voted in Britain, my vote would go to her. If after the Brexit vote Labour keeps Corbyn and the Tories vote in Boris Johnson- then I’ll suddenly become an ardent supporter of Brexit myself.

Let’s face it, how can Britain be led by a man who doesn’t even know how to use a hairbrush – I’m allowed to say this, I’m British!!!

Sorry, Pinky, there’s a paywall on that one, but I like the sound of ‘fundamentally decent’. Part of the voter malaise worldwide, imho, is the lack of fundamentally decent politicians to vote /for/. I know that linking ‘politician’ with ‘decent’ is an oxymoron, but these days we voters don’t even have the luxury of self-deception. 😦

Decent? Theresa May? Not the same Theresa May who wants to spy on our private communications?

What do you prefer? Spying, repealing Human Rights for “British” Human Rights for Daily Mail readers; wild lying showing a lack of understanding of what “truth” is, or homophobia and abortion restrictions?
