Work has begun. This is one of the apartments I prefer, which means it’s more fun. It’s got an interesting L shaped layout with a bedroom at each extremity (each with its own shower-room) and the living areas in the middle. One of the things it was missing was its own entrance hall, which is fortunately easy to fix by simply stealing some space from the hallway that leads to it.
It would be perfect as a flatshare because of the distribution of rooms. The floors and colour scheme are the same as the apartment we’ve just finished.
Meanwhile I’ve also been planning the lobby of the building. I’m thinking a wrought iron console table and a large mirror. And on the floor a made to measure coconut tree fiber rug. Perhaps some architectural prints. I’ve already bought the mirror:
Nice high ceilings.

The energy efficiency expert says that in the living room they’re too high (3.6 metres), so we’re bringing it down to the same height as in the bedrooms. How annoying is that?

Fake ceiling? Got for light features.

That’s the plan 🙂

How are the heating costs allocated in the building? I’d hate to lose those high ceilings.

Each flat has its own individual heating system. The energy man says we have to come down to 3.6m to 3.0 if we want a decent score…

Lots of potential here. I love the balcony doors. I’m presuming that the connected toilet isn’t really situated next to the fireplace.

It’s hard for me to figure out which rooms are the bedrooms and which room is the living room. I know you were not able to buy enough flooring to completely do all the apartments. Is this the apartment where we change up the flooring within the apartment? Does this apartment have a separate kitchen? Nice to see ceiling lights. When young I mistakenly built a new home with ceiling lights missing from the living room and bedrooms. I just never noticed it on the plans or during construction, I didn’t notice until we moved in. Ugg, never again will I live in a home without ceiling lights in all the rooms.
One year for Valentines Day my husband asked me what I would like, I asked him for a second overhead light in a loft area. We built that home also and it did have a ceiling light in the loft but it was a rather long loft and wouldn’t you know it I placed my desk at the other end and it wasn’t quite enough light for me, sigh. So that is what I got as a Valentines day gift one year, a second ceiling light in the loft. The electrician thought it was kind of an odd gift but I was sure happy with it, I do love my ceiling light.
Change of topic, I can’t figure out what happened to Austin Ruse’s Twitter account. I can’t figure out iif he shut it down, or if Twitter closed it down. If you search in Twitter for @AustinRuse or Austin Ruse I saw some tweets to him complaining of what he said about ppl who are Transgender. His org is a Southern Poverty Law Center list certified Hate Group. The SPLC is the us org that tracks Hate Groups. They do a lot of work tracking white supremacist and anti Muslim & anti Jewish Hate Groups also. The US FBI designated the SPLC as a community partner

Here they wrote about him,

If someone complained about Austin Ruse to Twitter, being listed as an SPLC Hate Group is not going to help him in maintaining a Twitter account. I just can’t tell if he closed his account or if Twitter closed it. I know a guy on Twitter who has helped get abusive accounts shut down, I think I’ll ask him to look at it and see if he can tell.

Ruse has taken his account private 😉
Let’s celebrate that little by little the rug is being pulled from under those people. Faust has been quiet for months and now Ruse’s message isn’t going to get out in the same way it did before. One by one we have to expose them and what they do.

Katy Faust was on ROL’s podcast. The entire conversation is how civil laws need to conform to Baptist beliefs and how all Christians should be strong, ignore the side eye of your friends and family and just plow ahead with your Christian beliefs. She has always been preachy but I notice in her Twitter Account how she has kind of slid to be simply anti gay. In reading her tweets, and what she re tweets that is my impression. I wonder if she has had a falling out with her mother or something?
When listening to the podcast you no longer hear much about loving & honoring ppl who are gay, it’s just (paraphrasing) We gotta get everyone out to the polls and vote in politicians who will pass laws that conform to Baptist beliefs. It’s our duty as Christians. She used to attempt to strike what I always thought was a phony balance of Oh I LOVE gay people followed by, but they should not have the right to be married and are a last resort as potential patents to children. In listening to her over time I get the sense that she is more stressed out, she gives a strong anti gay impression now that she didn’t used to. I dunno her voice seemed stressed to me.
If I see her get invited to speak anywhere, like in Australia I will forward on the podcast so that everyone will know that her beliefs on civil laws are driven by her religious beliefs.

That’s the thing, her fraud was exposed. All the money she invested in trying to turn herself fake persona into a conservative celebrity went down the drain. For her, ROL and Ruse, it’s all downhill from now on.

Can you post a pic of the floor plan, Pinky? I can’t quite work out what’s what either. And isn’t it nice to know that people who have something to hide are vulnerable to flashlights. 😀

I’d like to see that, too. Sounds like a unique arrangement.
