Just Merveilleux?

Life at № 42

An interesting point in life: donotgiveadamnism

rhettFabulous, really.

I’m only just now realizing how much of life is reflective (in the reactive rather than thoughtful sense.) I can’t quantify it precisely, but it seems to me that at the very least over 70% of reactive behaviour is based on the circumstances of the self rather than on the external action itself.

I say that because progressively, the effects of external stimuli have been considerably dampened for me. A lot of what I would have found offensive or unpleasant at 20, is entirely insignificant at 37.

The process started a while ago but is only reaching what seems to be its full maturation now. Lovely.

At age 51, it becomes “Idontgiveashititious”. I’m deeply infected with it. 🙂

I’m not far from that point 🙂
But isn’t it incredible? Youth seems to be an exercise in futile self-flagellation. We torture ourselves over every little thing; only to realize every little thing doesn’t matter at all.

-giggles- And at 62 it becomes “Idon’tgiveflying….” Very liberating.

I imagine you giving a sort of reverse twinkle. The unpleasant stimulus arises, your face changes, the other retires hurt. You old French aristocrat, you!

    I was going to leave a witty comment, but then… frankly… 😉

Fucks don’t fly. They can leap really high, but they can’t fly. Now shits, shits CAN fly. So, be careful if your around any. They could land on you.
