Just had a quick look and bookmarked it for future reference. I am, actually, a bit of a security nut so I could well end up using Tor. Before I do, however, I need to make sure it doesn’t affect any of my games or game related apps like Teamspeak. Thank you so much for this tip. I really appreciate it.
You’re welcome. Security is its key reason for being. Once yo download it, just use it when you need it. It shouldn’t affect anything else. I don’t recommend using for online gaming or general video streaming; the system is limited and can overwhelm and slow for everyone using it. I think this John Oliver video is worthy of special exception.
At 0:38, after introducing the concept of current societal progress for transgerder people, John Oliver says this: “But, for all the strides transgender people have made, lately, let’s not get too complacent about how far we’ve come.”
Did you see/hear that? “How far WE’VE come.” John Oliver is not transgender.
It’s not about how far transgender people have come. They’ve arrived there, already. It’s how far the rest of us have come, in our journey to recognizing and accepting where “there” is.
It’s subtle, slipped in there, and spot on. Makes me wonder how many other sharp and possibly subliminal points he included and which I hope will succeed in stimulating our thoughts — especially the thoughts and minds of those who lag the furthest behind.
That was a good watch. I’m not even sure that people are transphobic, I don’t think they can get past their incredulity at people wanting to change gender. And so, because they don’t understand or want to do it, it’s wrong. There’s no logic to it, but it’s not too dissimilar to gays shouldn’t marry.
Love this guy. Funny and poignant.

He has mastered the longer narrative magazine News style. The research is indeed superb.

May we all find and get “there” soon.
