Someone on the television mentioned Armagnac. I’d like some, but I have none in the house.
We’re invited to lunch this Saturday. Somewhere in the mountains. There was a certain emphasis on the simplicity of the restaurant. I have the impression that was code implying I’m generally overdressed. I think I’ll wear the cream linen jacket I wore for the opening of Gigi’s last year. Linen is simple.

Funny how just hearing a word can trigger a sense of abject despair isn’t it?

Love Kathy Lang! A very fine musician and actress. Did you see her in Percy Adlon’s Salmonberries?

-grin- Do you have to wear a jacket at all, Pinky? You have the physique for something super simple like a loose white or cream cotton? top – V-neck? – that flows into elegant folds, sleeves pushed up to the elbows with a bold watch on a suntanned wrist…worn over matching or toning white or cream pants with cream slip-ons like those shoes guys wear on yachts…Okay, don’t hit me! I’ll go away now. 🙂

Well, he dresses like a homeless farmer- so I have to compensate, or they wouldn’t let us into shops and restaurants 😀

-giggles- Oh dear, holes at the elbows? I believe that’s meant to be understated chic….

Maybe the person is tired of you dressing better. You’ll know if you hold off on your usual fashion and the person shows up dressed to the nines. Or what if it’s a challenge?
Regardless, I think you will be more than up to the task!
